Mastering the Derby: Tips & Tricks from Little Leaflets
Welcome, fellow farmers! The Derby is where our neighborhood truly shines, with teamwork, strategy, and a whole lot of fun. Dive into our collective wisdom to maximize your Derby success and enjoy the playful chaos that makes Little Leaflets HayDay unique.

Progress efficiently: Your path to Derby glory
To truly excel in the Derby, especially when progressing from levels 10-50, you need to transition from a casual farm to an organized, cash-generating production line. Forget spending diamonds on decorations or missing ingredients. Our top priority for diamond use is production slots! Start with the Dairy and Sugar Mill, then move on to slots for the Bakery, Feed Mills, and Pie Oven. For the Derby itself, focus on 320-point tasks ONLY and get them done quickly. Avoid truck, fishing, town, or boat quests. Wheating and mining tasks are super easy and quick. Remember to fill all your machines like the pie oven but DO NOT COLLECT until you have the task! Derby is all about speed and, for our team, delightful chaos.

Overcoming Derby frustrations
One of the most common frustrations in the Derby is when players take tasks without proper preparation. It’s crucial to ensure you have the necessary items or resources before committing to a task. Another common pitfall is choosing tasks that take an excessively long time to complete. While using gems for the last task isn't strictly necessary, it's highly encouraged if it helps us secure a better position in the Derby standings. Communication and smart task selection are key to a smooth and successful Derby for everyone.

Keeping the fun in Derby
Beyond the glory of winning, what truly makes the Derby enjoyable for our neighborhood is the camaraderie and shared excitement. When we're aiming for gold, you'll often find Rina, Red, Olivia, and sometimes Tee, taking tasks and striving to complete all nine within the hour. This sparks a lot of lively chatter, fast-paced action, and hilarious moments where we trip over nothing – what we affectionately call "playful chaos." It's these shared experiences, the laughter, and the collective effort that keep the Derby fun and engaging for everyone in Little Leaflets HayDay.
